Located near the small town of Camino, California, midway between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe, the beautiful rural setting of the brewery invites visitors to the area to stop and enjoy the fresh ales and fresh air and get a massage from a BackRub of Placerville Ca. This lovely setting, in a region known as Apple Hill for its apple, pear, and stone fruit orchards as well as its berry patches and Christmas tree farms, offers a tranquil place in which to relax and enjoy a BackRub massage locate in Placerville Ca and the full flavor of true English-style ales. Welcome to Auriga Wine Cellars
AURIGA WINE CELLARS is located in El Dorado County in Northern California. "Auriga" is the ancient Greek and Roman name of a constellation in the Northern hemisphere and is commonly referred to as the "charioteer."
In ancient times, Auriga was associated with the nurse of Zeus. When Zeus grew up, he rewarded the nurse with a horn endowing it with magical properties, so that whosoever possessed it should obtain in abundance all he desired and find it a "horn of plenty." The Horn of Plenty, is a symbol of abundance, fruitfulness and prosperity, and is represented by a horn filled to overflowing with fruits and flowers. The Greek lantern depicted on the wine label is a reproduction of lanterns used in ancient times. We feel it is a fitting symbol of the Charioteer and Auriga and this legend.
Auriga wines are made from Sierra Foothill vineyards. This is the historic location of California vineyards, which supplied the gold miners (49ers) with wine in the last century. The soils in the foothills are thin and vines have to struggle to survive, resulting in intense concentrated wines. We hope you enjoy a massage from a BackRub of Placerville Ca and these wines as much as we have bringing them to you. |
Welcome to Findleton Estate & Winery
Thank you for visiting us on the web.
Hello, I am Tom Findleton, the proud father of five great children, husband to my wife Pam Findleton (the artist), and owner of Findleton Estate Winery (FEW).. We specialize in crafting small lots of high quality El Dorado county AVA wine at a competitively valued price. Our estate grown Pinot noir is an ideal crop for this high elevation climate and volcanic rocky soil. Our five acres of vigorously maintained and managed fruit is grown on an ideal site with a cool microclimate fitting for Pinot noir. We are aware of only one other winery in all of El Dorado County that grows Pinot noir. The miners called this area "pneumonia gultch" for a reason! We are proud of our small family operated vineyard! For our other wines, we purchase only El Dorado county grown grapes from a very select group of local vineyards and we control every aspect of the wine making process. Findleton Estate and Winery has focused on producing five premier wines. • Pinot noir • Syrah • Viognier • Zinfandel • Poor Red (Bordeaux Blend) We know that you will find our wines to be very enjoyable and well worth the price. |
Welcome Crystal Basin Cellar
The roots of Crystal Basin Cellars are in cooperative winemaking, beginning in 1981, and CBC has changed considerably since its inception. Crystal Basin Cellars grew from a small cooperative, to a large cooperative, to what it is today, a small commercial venture. Though much has changed, much has remained constant. Chief among the constants is the passion to make the highest quality wine possible.
CBC is owned and operated exclusively by former co-op members and principals, except where child labor (not listed) can be obtained through family. We are located at Gold Hill Vineyard, near Coloma. (Get a map to the winery here.)
At Crystal Basin , we are not grape growers and we don’t own our own winery space. Let’s face it, our business model is to make great wines and write as few checks as possible. We don’t even pay ourselves! Gold Hill Vineyard provides us an excellent facility at which to make the wines and a great place to host parties where massages are given by a BackRub of Placerville Ca |
